Azelastine Description

Azelastine, is a histamine blocker used as a first line treatment of moderate periodic, moderate and severe intermittent and moderate relentless rhinitis. Azelastine has actually been developed both as a nasal spray and as eye drops. Like lots of other antihistamines, it blocks histamines from causing allergies in the patient's body. Astelin is used directly on the locations affected by allergic reactions, enabling fast relief. Astelin (Azelastine) avoids sneezing, itching, runny nose, and other nasal symptoms of allergic reactions. This medicine is for seasonal allergies in grownups and kids who are at least 2 years of ages, and for year-round allergic reactions in adults and children as young as 6 months old. This medicine is safe and well tolerated in both grownups and children with allergic rhinitis. But just like other medication it might trigger adverse effects. Most common side effects are a bitter taste in the mouth, drowsiness, a burning feeling inside the nose, nose bleeds, sneezing fits, cough, runny nose, nausea, muscle aches, dry mouth, headache, weight gain, or red eyes. If any of these effects last or worsen, inform your physician or pharmacist immediately.
